Jackson School is proud to be a part of Blick Art Supplies Give & Get campaign, which partners with the non-profit Fresh Artists to help local schools get the proper funding and art supplies needed to be successful through donations at local Blick stores and we got chosen again!  This is an amazing opportunity and we are excited to see what our students continue to create through art.  

We are writing to inform you about an important update regarding our school’s policy related to students and personal electronic devices. This policy will take effect at the start of the new school year in September 2025. As required by Education Law 2803, and as a part of Governor Hochul’s Distraction-Free Learning Initiative, student use of personal internet-enabled devices is prohibited from “bell-to-bell.”

Last Thursday June 5th 2025, Jackson School hosted their annual Career Day. Parents from various professions, including police officers and nurses, visited to share their career experiences with students. The presenters highlighted how their work contributes to helping the community and discussed their professional journeys. Students gained valuable insights into different career paths and were inspired by these positive role models. Thank you parents for volunteering your time and making career day a success!

On a beautiful spring day filled with sunshine and school spirit, Jackson School hosted its annual Field Day on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Jackson Annex Field. The entire school community came together for a fun-filled day of outdoor activities, teamwork, and celebration.

On June 2, 2025, the sixth-grade scholars of Jackson Elementary School embarked on a meaningful and educational trip to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul in Hempstead, NY. This special outing was designed to deepen scholars' understanding of world cultures, faith traditions, and the architectural wonders rooted in ancient history and modern faith.

On Thursday, May 29, Jackson School proudly hosted our Annual Spring Concert, an evening filled with artistic brilliance and cultural celebration. Families, staff, and community members gathered to witness the incredible talents of our Jackson scholars as they took the stage in Chorus, Band, and Visual Arts performances.
