Celebrating the IB Learner Profile One Book at a Time
At Jackson IB PYP World School, we believe in the power of literature to inspire thought, build empathy, and develop the whole child. Our Book of the Month initiative is designed to support our scholars’ growth through carefully selected titles that highlight one of the IB Learner Profile Attributes each month.
Through classroom discussions, read-alouds, and school-wide activities, our scholars engage with each story on a deeper level, making meaningful connections between literature and the values we strive to embody every day.
Why It Matters
Books spark conversation, fuel curiosity, and help our scholars develop a greater awareness of themselves and the world around them. By connecting each story to a Learner Profile Attribute, we guide scholars in recognizing these traits within themselves and practicing them in their daily lives—both in and outside of school.
